This recent release, Daily Grooves for Bass (published by Carl Fischer), came about because of a severe shortage
of two things essential to the bass world: a book with great grooves
that are funky and hip and inspiring, and a book that gives great
reading exercises, short and to the point, just like in the real
music world, without bogging down the player with pages and pages
of music that only works for a specific tune. Pfeiffer wanted to inspire
bass players to read and play grooves worthy of being in any bassist’s
groove repertoire. The grooves in this book are excellent for jamming
and the reading makes sense, but please bear in mind that the material
presented here is aimed at the advanced-intermediate to advanced
player. Written in Standard Notation, TAB and tracks included via data CD. Click here to

Patrick's
band, PHX, presents their Bass Player Magazine - recommended
CD, Fruits and Nuts. It's
a gritty R&B/Funk flavored journey through original compositions. This is the CD that had Bass Player Magazine exclaim "Although his style and sound owe much to Jaco, Patrick puts his own worthy stamp on the legacy." Players on the CD
are: Patrick Pfeiffer on bass, Jon Cowherd on keys, drummer and
percussionist David Meade, saxophonist Brian Sears, and the late great Gary Corwin (singing "Once You've Been A Raisin, You Can Never Be A Grape"). Enhance
your music library with this CD today. Click here to
